Job Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding our client base, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing the sales pipeline, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue growth targets and expand market share
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in the facilities management and soft services sectors
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients through proactive prospecting, networking, and industry research
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, competitors, and potential areas for expansion
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and tender responses to prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for the company
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth transition and implementation of new contracts
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations on facilities management and soft services solutions
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and collateral materials
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our services and generate leads
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between sales objectives and operational capabilities
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in facilities management and soft services
  • Mentor and support junior sales team members, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the facilities management or soft services industry
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of facilities management principles, practices, and industry standards
  • In-depth knowledge of soft services, including cleaning, security, catering, and other support services
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
