Collections Advisor - Crewe

💼 The Role:
As a Collections Advisor, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely and effective collection of outstanding payments. You’ll work closely with customers to agree on affordable repayment solutions, always aiming for a positive outcome and maintaining the highest level of professionalism.

🛠 Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively contact customers via telephone, email, and letter regarding outstanding balances
• Negotiate and agree suitable repayment plans
• Update and maintain accurate records of all customer interactions
• Handle queries and disputes with empathy and efficiency
• Liaise with internal teams and third parties to resolve complex cases
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and company policies

✅ About You:

• Previous experience in a collections, credit control, or debt recovery role
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Resilient, empathetic, and confident in handling challenging conversations
• Organised, target-driven, and a team player
• Knowledge of FCA guidelines and relevant regulatory frameworks (desirable)
