Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced External Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in High Wycombe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, electronics, and automation, with 3-10 years of relevant work experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive business growth, build lasting client relationships, and represent our company’s innovative solutions in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand our customer base and increase market share in the assigned territory.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities.
  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments with potential clients to understand their requirements and challenges.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our electronics and automation solutions.
  • Provide expert advice and consultative selling approaches to help clients optimize their operations through our products and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to close deals while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technical support, product development, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and ongoing client support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities in our CRM system.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and potential threats.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to represent the company and generate new leads.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and customer feedback to management.
  • Continuously expand product knowledge and stay updated on the latest developments in electronics and automation technologies.
  • Mentor and support junior sales team members, sharing best practices and industry expertise.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-10 years of proven sales experience in the electronics and automation industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic components, automation systems, and industrial applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing accounts.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Flexibility to attend occasional evening events or weekend trade shows.
