Senior Design Manager - Frankfurt

I’m working with a leading international data centre operator to recruit a Design Manager to support the delivery of hyperscale and colocation projects across Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team at the forefront of critical infrastructure delivery.

The Role
The Design Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of design across multiple data centre developments, including new builds and major upgrades. This role will interface with internal teams (construction, commercial, operations) and external consultants to ensure that all design outputs are fully coordinated, technically compliant, and delivered to programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept through to construction handover

• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams (MEP, architectural, civil/structural)

• Review consultant and contractor design submissions for quality, compliance, and alignment with project goals

• Ensure all designs meet client standards, local regulations, and sustainability objectives

• Manage internal stakeholder expectations and reporting across the design phase

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in design management on data centre or similar critical infrastructure projects

• Strong technical understanding of MEP systems and construction interfaces

• Comfortable managing design delivery across multiple simultaneous projects

• Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to lead complex stakeholder discussions

• Experience working across European markets is advantageous
