Job Overview

We are looking for a talented and motivated Carrier 3PL Manager to oversee our third-party logistics operations and ensure seamless coordination between our company, carriers, and clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract management, 3PL logistics, and warehouse management. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of optimising logistics processes and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrier Management and Relationship Building:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiating favorable terms and rates
  • Evaluate carrier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct regular carrier reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Resolve carrier-related issues and disputes in a timely and professional manner
• Contract Management:
  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal
  • Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal requirements and company policies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to mitigate risks and optimize contract terms
• 3PL Logistics Operations:
  • Manage day-to-day 3PL operations, including transportation planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of 3PL services
• Warehouse Management:
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and quality control
  • Implement best practices for warehouse layout, storage, and material handling
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Optimize warehouse processes to improve productivity and reduce operating costs
• Technology and Systems Management:
  • Leverage transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations
  • Identify and implement new technologies to enhance visibility, tracking, and reporting capabilities
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all logistics systems
  • Provide training and support to team members on logistics software and tools
• Team Leadership and Development:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of logistics professionals
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
