they are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to join their UK-based team.
This is a remote position with frequent travel across the UK and Ireland, supporting a wide
range of high-tech robotic machinery and automation systems.

they are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to join their UK-based team.
This is a remote position with frequent travel across the UK and Ireland, supporting a wide
range of high-tech robotic machinery and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain sophisticated robotic equipment including pick-and-place systems, tray loaders, case erectors, flow-wrappers, sealing machinery, and thermoforming applications.
- Diagnose and repair complex systems involving PLCs, servo drives, PC-based controls, mechanical components, and pneumatics.
- Provide proactive and reactive service support at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance of automation equipment.
- Deliver training to customer operators and maintenance personnel on the proper use and upkeep of equipment.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor by identifying opportunities for improvement, upgrades, or additional solutions, and communicating these to the technical management team.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with customer contacts to ensure high levels of satisfaction and support.
- Represent the company with professionalism, delivering clear and effective communication in all client interactions.
- Participate in occasional overseas training and support visits, primarily to the company’s headquarters in Germany.
Skills & Experience Required:
- A background in Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in the service or manufacturing of packaging machinery or automation systems.
- Experience with robotic systems is highly desirable.
- Solid working knowledge of servo drives, PLCs, and PC-based control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for technical troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build strong rapport on-site.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to new challenges and technologies.
- Innovative thinker who enjoys solving complex problems and contributing ideas.
- Full, clean UK driving licence and eligibility to work and travel within the UK and Europe.
