Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge in the food industry? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business at the heart of a busy operation, helping to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently!

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in minimising downtime across warehouse, conveyor and pick-line operations. You’ll take ownership of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across a range of mechanical and electrical installations at our Waltham Cross site and occasionally support other sites within the M25 area.

πŸ”§ What you’ll be doing

  •         Design and deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance for M&E equipment.
  •         Attend and resolve equipment breakdowns quickly and effectively.
  •         Provide user support and simple fault-finding guidance for conveyor and pick-line equipment.
  •         Work closely with equipment suppliers to enhance performance and reliability.
  •         Maintain a stock of key spare parts and consumables.
  •         Support warehouse teams with breakdowns on other plant and equipment (e.g. high-speed doors, dock levellers).
  •         Liaise with specialist contractors when required, including refrigeration and electrical services.
  •         Always adhere to Health & Safety and environmental standards.
  •         Provide occasional technical support to other sites within Greater London.

  • Recognised qualification in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic and conveyor systems.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills on computer-controlled equipment.
  • Previous experience within a food production or chilled warehouse environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Great attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Positive, helpful attitude and a genuine team player. 🀝
  • Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
