Nter Talent is delighted to be partnering with a leading international organisation to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager for their operations based in Oberhausen.

This opportunity is ideal for a procurement professional with strong experience in logistics and warehousing procurement, specifically focused on warehouse leasing, warehousing operations, and indirect procurement categories.

Please note: this role does not involve freight forwarding or transportation sourcing. Instead, the position centres around procurement activities supporting warehousing infrastructure and operational materials, including packaging, consumables, warehouse services, and related indirect spend categories.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the international procurement leadership team, the Procurement Manager will oversee strategic sourcing and supplier management activities across warehousing and logistics-related operations.

You will work closely with operational, commercial, and asset teams to ensure procurement strategies support business growth, operational efficiency, and cost optimisation across logistics and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Warehousing Procurement

Lead procurement activities related to warehouse operations and logistics infrastructure.

Manage sourcing for:

Warehouse leasing and facility agreements

Packaging materials

Warehouse consumables

Operational indirect materials

Facility-related services and suppliers

Support procurement requirements across logistics and warehousing sites within Germany and wider European operations.

Procurement Strategy & Supplier Management

Develop and implement category strategies for warehousing and indirect procurement spend.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure service quality, commercial value, and continuity of supply.

Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiations, and performance management activities.

Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement, and procurement efficiencies.

Tendering & Commercial Management

Manage the full procurement lifecycle including:

RFQs and tender processes

Bid analysis and supplier selection

Commercial negotiations

Contract management and renewals

Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, compliance standards, and operational requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with operations, finance, asset management, and commercial teams to support warehousing expansion and operational procurement needs.

Provide procurement expertise and market insight to support business decision-making.

Candidate Requirements

Degree qualified in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years’ procurement experience within:

Logistics

Warehousing

Industrial operations

Indirect procurement categories

Strong experience managing warehouse-related procurement and supplier relationships.

Experience with warehouse leasing, operational procurement, or facilities sourcing would be highly advantageous.

Understanding of indirect procurement categories including packaging, consumables, and operational supplies.

Proven track record managing tenders, supplier negotiations, and procurement strategy implementation.

Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Fluent English required; German language skills would be a strong advantage.
