Senior Design Manager – Large Scale Solar

We’re looking for an experienced Design Manager to lead design activities across multiple utility-scale solar projects. This is a key role within the business, ideal for someone who can manage a team, deliver to deadlines, and drive continuous improvement across our design standards.

Responsibilities.

• Lead and Coordinate Design Activities: Oversee the design process for multiple utility-scale solar projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Manage Design Team: Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality design outputs.
• Develop and Implement Design Standards: Establish and maintain standardized design processes and templates to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
• Conduct Design Reviews: Organize and lead design review meetings, facilitating discussions to resolve design issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate design solutions into the overall project plan.
• Monitor Design Progress: Track the progress of design activities, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Manage Design Documentation: Ensure all design documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly archived for future reference.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the design function and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
