About the Role
We’re excited to partner with a dynamic, growing business to find a proactive and detail-focused Supply Chain & Purchasing Coordinator. In this key role, you’ll ensure that all materials and supplies are procured efficiently, cost-effectively and in line with customer demands. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining optimum stock levels, managing supplier relationships and supporting the smooth flow of operations across the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management — ideally with experience using procurement systems like Business Central.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Stock Management
Monitor stock levels for all product lines, ensuring availability aligns with customer demand and project timelines.
Analyse SKU sales performance, adjusting stock levels and recommending high-demand items for stocking.
Produce accurate intake schedules and track stock movement.
Place back-to-back orders for special items, coordinating timelines and updates with the Customer Service team.
Notify Finance of pro-forma payments needed to secure timely deliveries.
Maintain regular communication with Sales and Customer Service teams regarding delivery schedules.
Track and update the status of purchase orders with suppliers, proactively managing any delays and offering alternative solutions when necessary.
Arrange transportation for all purchase orders and liaise with the Warehouse Supervisor for planned deliveries.
Manage creation of new SKUs accurately and promptly to support Sales and smooth new product launches.
Communicate discontinuations and run down stock where needed.
Verify delivery notes against purchase orders and receipt stock into the system accurately.
Handle inbound damages or shortages, securing credits or replacements swiftly and keeping Customer Service informed.
Liaise with suppliers for pricing, stock levels and lead times for new enquiries to enable fast and accurate client quotes.
Manage supplier sample requests, ensuring the Warehouse is informed and samples reach the right recipient.
Reporting & Analysis
Develop and maintain robust reporting tools to manage stock efficiently and act as the central coordinator for this information.
Keep supplier performance and non-conformance records up to date.
Use reporting tools proactively to manage inventory and support business-wide decision making.
Key Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication skills — able to collaborate confidently across departments and with external partners.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Experience with Business Central (desirable).
Proficiency in developing and using reporting tools to support stock management.
Customer-focused approach, delivering a high standard of service both internally and externally.
Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
A collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
