Technical Proposal Engineer – Primary

About the Role

This is a key position within the Tender Department. The Primary Technical Proposal Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical content for tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review technical aspects of tenders and provide technical guidance to the team.

  • Identify value engineering opportunities to deliver cost-effective solutions for clients.

  • Specify major equipment and ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.

  • Coordinate technical content for tenders, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layouts/general arrangements, calculations, schedules, and Project Execution Plans.

  • Provide technical support to the estimating team throughout the tendering process.

  • Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure technical proposals meet client expectations.

  • Manage and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or an electrical trade qualification.

  • Previous project management experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the electrical contracting industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Effective people management abilities.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with IT systems and software.

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
