About the Opportunity
Nter Talent is proud to be partnering with a leading General Contractor specialising in the delivery of complex industrial and commercial construction projects across North America.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Travelling Cold Storage Superintendent to oversee the construction of large-scale refrigerated and freezer warehouse facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong project pipeline, working on technically challenging builds for some of the industry's leading clients.
This position requires extensive travel throughout the United States.
The Role
As Travelling Cold Storage Superintendent, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site activities and maintain excellent communication with project teams, clients and stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilisation through project completion.
Manage daily operations whilst maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
Conduct daily site meetings, toolbox talks and progress updates.
Review drawings, specifications and construction documents.
Monitor quality control and ensure work is completed to specification.
Identify and resolve site issues before they impact programme delivery.
Work closely with Project Managers to achieve project milestones.
Maintain detailed site reports and project documentation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors and subcontractors.
Drive a culture of safety, accountability and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Superintendent delivering cold storage, refrigerated warehouse or freezer facility construction projects.
Background working for a General Contractor.
Experience managing industrial, food manufacturing, distribution or logistics construction projects is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of insulated metal panels (IMPs), refrigeration systems and temperature-controlled facilities.
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors across complex construction programmes.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong scheduling and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to travel extensively across the United States.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Proficiency with construction management software is advantageous.
