Assistant Project Manager | Utility-Scale BESS
We are working with a leading energy infrastructure developer to find an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of utility-scale battery energy storage and power infrastructure projects.
Working closely with senior project management and project delivery teams, you will support projects through engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, gaining exposure to large-scale BESS developments and complex EPC environments.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Project Manager with day-to-day delivery of utility-scale BESS projects
Assist with project schedules, budgets, reporting and progress tracking
Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams and suppliers
Track procurement, equipment deliveries and material requirements
Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
Monitor construction progress and help identify schedule, cost and quality risks
Support project meetings and maintain clear communication between project stakeholders
Assist with reviewing contractor performance and ensuring work remains aligned with project requirements
Support project safety, quality and compliance processes
Help prepare regular project updates, forecasts and reporting for senior leadership
Assist through construction, commissioning and project closeout
Experience Required
2+ years of experience in project management, construction management or project coordination
Experience within BESS, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, substations, power generation or a related sector preferred
Exposure to EPC contractors and construction project delivery
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across engineering and construction teams
Understanding of project schedules, budgets, procurement and documentation
Willingness to travel to project sites as required
