Technical Business Development Manager – Hard Facilities Management

£55,000–£60,000 + Commission + Car Allowance + Pension + Benefits
I'm currently partnering with an established and growing facilities management business to recruit a Technical Business Development Manager to help drive the next phase of its commercial growth across London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in Hard FM, Building Services or M&E Maintenance who enjoys winning new business, developing long-term client relationships and delivering technically credible solutions.
The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new Hard FM contracts across the commercial, residential, industrial and public sectors, managing opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award.
Working closely with technical and operational teams, you'll develop tailored maintenance solutions that provide genuine value to clients while building a strong pipeline of new business across Greater London.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and win new Hard FM contracts across London
Build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities
Engage with Facilities Managers, Estates Directors and Procurement teams
Conduct client meetings and site surveys
Develop technical maintenance solutions alongside operational teams
Support PQQs, ITTs, framework submissions and tender responses
Present commercial proposals and negotiate contracts
Build long-term strategic client relationships
Monitor market activity and identify new business opportunities

Technical Property Services
You'll ideally have:
A proven track record of winning new business
Experience securing maintenance contracts from approximately £100k upwards
Strong knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance
Excellent commercial, negotiation and presentation skills
The ability to communicate confidently with both technical and commercial stakeholders
Engineering, Building Services, IOSH, NEBOSH, CIBSE or IWFM qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
Package
£55,000–£60,000 basic salary
