NetSuite Systems Accountant

We are partnering with an established and growing manufacturing and supply-chain business that is investing in its finance systems, processes and data capability.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong, hands-on NetSuite experience and a finance background to take ownership of the system from a Finance perspective.

This is not a traditional accounting role focused solely on producing numbers. You will sit at the intersection of Finance, Systems, IT and Operations, becoming the main internal point of contact for finance-related NetSuite queries while helping improve processes, reporting and data accuracy across the wider business.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Acting as the first point of contact for finance-related NetSuite queries

• Supporting users and troubleshooting system and data issues

• Creating and maintaining NetSuite saved searches, reports and dashboards

• Investigating discrepancies and identifying root causes

• Improving NetSuite processes and functionality to increase efficiency and data quality

• Supporting month-end and year-end system activities and reconciliations

• Assisting with system upgrades, testing and new functionality

• Reviewing stock, inventory, fixed-asset and operational data within NetSuite

• Maintaining the fixed-asset register

• Documenting finance processes and producing user guides

• Providing transactional finance support across AP, AR and general ledger when required

• Supporting the Accounts Payable inbox and wider Finance team

• Liaising with external NetSuite consultants and implementation partners when necessary

What We're Looking For

NetSuite experience is essential for this position.

Ideally, you will have:

• 2+ years' hands-on NetSuite experience

• A background within finance, accounting or transactional finance

• Experience supporting finance users with NetSuite queries

• The ability to independently build reports, dashboards and saved searches

• Good knowledge of Accounts Payable, purchase ledger, sales ledger and general ledger processes

• An understanding of stock, inventory and fixed-asset processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Confidence investigating system issues and data discrepancies

• The ability to explain system and technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues

• A proactive, detail-focused approach with a genuine interest in process improvement

You do not need to be a fully qualified accountant.

Candidates studying towards CIMA, ACCA or equivalent, or those looking to begin an accounting qualification, will be considered.

Desirable Experience

Experience within any of the following would be advantageous, but is not essential:

• Manufacturing

• Logistics or supply chain

• Stock or inventory-heavy environments

• Qlik or other BI/reporting tools

• ERP implementations or system upgrades

• Finance transformation or automation projects

• 08:00–17:00
