Nter Talent is supporting the search for a hands-on Energy Storage Sales Manager / Country Manager to drive front-of-meter Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) growth within a rapidly expanding global energy solutions business. This organisation operates at the forefront of power electronics and energy infrastructure, delivering solutions across EV charging, energy storage systems, and renewable energy applications. With an international footprint, they are focused on enabling intelligent energy networks and supporting the transition to a more sustainable energy landscape. The Role in Brief
We are seeking a commercially driven and technically credible professional with direct experience in utility-scale (front-of-meter) BESS projects. This role requires a strong understanding of the local EPC and system integrator ecosystem, as well as the full decision-making chain behind large-scale energy projects. You will play a key role in securing projects by working closely with EPCs, system integrators, and developers, positioning power conversion systems (PCS) and medium-voltage integrated solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Account Strategy
• Lead front-of-meter BESS sales activities across your region, engaging utilities, IPPs, developers, and TSO/DSO stakeholders
• Map and manage the local EPC and system integrator landscape, assessing technical capability, financial strength, and delivery track record
• Influence the full decision chain across project sponsors, EPCs/SIs, grid operators, lenders, and insurers Opportunity Origination & Closing
• Build and manage a qualified pipeline across greenfield, brownfield, and retrofit opportunities
• Secure inclusion on approved vendor lists (AVL) with EPCs, system integrators, and developers
• Position PCS (string/central) and MV integrated solutions aligned to grid codes and project applications (e.g. frequency response, peak shaving, capacity markets)
• Lead bid processes including RFP/RFQ analysis, compliance, pricing strategy, and bankability documentation
• Negotiate commercial terms through to contract award (including warranties, performance guarantees, and payment structures) Technical & Grid Compliance
• Interpret TSO/DSO interconnection requirements and translate into technical solutions alongside engineering teams
• Align delivery and commissioning timelines with permitting and construction schedules
• Coordinate with EPCs and integrators on EMS/SCADA integration, MV/HV design, and site execution Partner Enablement
• Deliver technical workshops, design guidance, and standardised documentation (SLDs, BoMs)
• Support EPC and partner training, enabling faster bid cycles and project execution Governance & Reporting
• Maintain accurate CRM data and pipeline forecasting
• Produce win/loss analysis and competitor insights, feeding back to product and engineering teams
Required Experience
Essential
• 5–10years’ experience in sales or business development within utility-scale energy projects (BESS, solar, wind, CHP)
• Proven experience delivering front-of-meter BESS projects from origination through to contract award
• Strong track record working with EPCs, system integrators, and developers
• Experience selling power conversion systems (PCS) and/or medium-voltage solutions
• Solid understanding of grid codes and interconnection processes
• Strong awareness of market drivers such as policy, ancillary services, and capacity markets
• Fluent English (local language proficiency beneficial) Desirable
• Background within an EPC, system integrator, developer, or utility
• Familiarity with EMS/SCADA integration (e.g. Modbus/TCP, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104)
• Knowledge of IEC/EN safety and compliance standards

• Willingness to travel (approximately 30–50%)
